Marinelli beakers are used for gamma spectrometry analysis of radioactive liquid or solid samples with low to medium activity levels.
The use of Marinelli beakers in gamma spectrometry allows for maximum geometric efficiency, as large quantities of samples can be positioned very close to the detector.

Beakers are available in 500 ml and 1000 ml volumes and can be used with various types of detectors (HPGe, NaI, etc.) featuring end-caps ranging from 3.00″ (76.2 mm) to 3.75″ (95 mm).
